Randy’s BEM presentation 29th August 2023
Our member Randy Langford has been awarded the British Empire Medal in recognition of his work collecting donation tins for St Michael’s Hospice from over 200 locations across Herefordshire over 30 years contibuting around £400,000 for the hospice. Randy’s medal was presented to him by the Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire, Edward Harley CBE, during a special ceremony at St Michael’s in Bartestree during which Randy was described as “a bit of a legend” and an “incredible force” and “an example of a local community volunteer who goes out of his way to help others through practical actions” .
